General information about the cookies used
The Cookie Policy sets out all the information on the use of cookies in relation to the websites, applications, services, products and tools of www.justbob.ch (hereinafter jointly “the Site”) and the options available to the user while browsing. This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with the information contained in the Privacy Policy available on the Site at https://www.justbob.ch/en/privacy-policy/.
This Cookie Policy applies regardless of how you access and use the services of the Website and therefore also applies to access via mobile devices and apps.a
For your information, please note that almost all browsers are set to automatically accept Cookies. However, users can change the default settings themselves from their device at any time.
As stated above, disabling or deleting Cookies may, however, prevent the optimal use of certain areas and/or functions of the Website or compromise the use of the services offered.
If users want to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept Cookies, they can also configure their browser so that it generates a warning each time a Cookie is saved.
The cookies used can be of the following types: (1) persistent, i.e., they remain stored on the hard disk of the user’s device until they expire; (2) session, i.e., they are not stored persistently on the hard disk of the user’s device and are therefore deleted when the browser is closed.
Cookies are used to: (a) facilitate navigation within the site and ensure its proper use; (b) facilitate access to services that require authentication (avoiding the need for users to re-enter authentication credentials each time they access the services); (c) for statistical purposes, to know which areas of the site have been visited; (d) for optimal management of pages and advertising space; (e) to provide content and advertising in line with the choices made by Internet users (so-called behavioral advertising with dynamic creativity).
Session cookies are used to transmit the identifiers of browsing sessions which allow the safe and efficient exploration of the Site. The session cookies used on the Site avoid resorting to other computer techniques that could potentially prejudice the confidentiality of users’ browsing and are also used to improve the distribution of the services offered.
In addition, the cookies may be owned by the website (e.g., used to find out the number of pages visited on the website) or by third parties (i.e., generated by other websites to deliver content on the website visited by users). This website may use anonymous third-party cookies in order to dynamically manage the delivery of advertising messages. Most browsers allow you to block only third-party cookies and accept only the website’s own cookies. Moreover, some websites that generate cookies on third-party websites offer the possibility to deactivate and/or suppress in a simple and immediate manner only their own cookies, even when these are anonymous, i.e., they do not involve the registration of personal identification data such as IP addresses.
Cookies used for the purpose of aggregate analysis of visits to the Site
The Site makes use of tools for the aggregate analysis of navigation data that allow the Site to be improved (New Relic, Google Analytics Google Optimize, Hotjar, Contensquare). These tools use cookies that are installed on the user’s device in order to allow the operator of the sites to analyse how the user uses the site. The information generated by the Cookie about your use of the Site (including your anonymised IP address by masking certain fields) will be transmitted to and stored on the servers of New Relic, Google, Hotjar and Contentsquare.
The aforementioned information may be used to track and examine the use of the sites by users, for reporting purposes and to provide other services related to the Site’s activity, as well as to perform navigation. In order to fully protect user confidentiality, the Site uses the “IP masking” function, which requires the system to black out the last 8 digits of the user’s IP address before any processing is carried out, thus making theanalyzed data anonymous.
Users can, however, prevent the use of Google Analytics and its storage on their device by using the Google Analytics deactivation browser add-on made available by Google at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. In order to activate this component, which inhibits the system from sending information about the user’s visit, it will be sufficient to install it by following the instructions on the screen, close and reopen the browser. As far as the cookies relating to New Relic, Hotjar and Contentsquare are concerned, users will be able to find all the necessary information at the following addresses:
New Relic: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/browser/new-relic-browser/page-load-timing-resources/new-relic-cookies-used-browser
Hotjar: https://www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out

Cookies used to serve interest-based ads
Sites may use third-party cookies to publish ads that are tailored to your interests. This information is collected during navigation and is in no way linked to the account with which the user accesses the sites. Google AdWords of Google Inc. uses browsing data within its online advertising circuit in order to propose advertisements that are more relevant to the user’s interests expressed during browsing sessions.
The Site employs the above-mentioned technology and uses navigation data within its own sites to propose targeted and interest-based advertisements to the user.

We use cookies to make advertising more engaging for users and more useful for publishers and advertisers. Some common uses of cookies include selecting advertisements based on what is relevant to a user, improving campaign performance reports, and avoiding displaying ads that the user has already seen. Google uses cookies, such as the NID and SID cookies, to help personalize ads on Google properties, such as Google Search. For example, we use them to store your most recent searches, your previous interactions with an advertiser’s ads or search results, and your visits to an advertiser’s website. This allows us to show you personalized ads on Google.
We also use one or more cookies for advertising displayed throughout the web. One of the most important advertising cookies is called IDE and is stored in browsers under the domain doubleclick.net. Another one called ANID is stored under the google.com domain. We use other cookies called DSID, FLC, AID, TAID, and exchange_uid. Other Google companies, such as YouTube, may also use these cookies to show you more relevant advertising. Sometimesadvertising cookies may be set in the domain of the website you are visiting. In the case of advertisements that we display across the web, cookies called ‘gads’ or ‘gacs’ may be set on the website you are visiting. Unlike cookies set on Google domains, these cookies cannot be read by Google when you visit a site other than the one on which they were set. They serve to quantify interactions with advertisements on that domain and prevent the same advertisement being shown to the same person too many times. Google also uses conversion cookies, which enable the advertiser to determine how many people who clicked on his ad subsequently became buyers of the relevant products. These cookies allow Google and the advertiser to see that you clicked on the ad and then visited the site. Conversion cookies are not used for personalized ads, focusing and insisting on one time. This type of activity is done through a cookie called ‘Conversion’ which is generally set under the domains googleadservices.com or google.com (you can find a list of the domains we use for advertising cookies at the end of this page). Some of our other cookies may also be used to quantify conversion events. For example, DoubleClick and Google Analytics cookies. |
