The secret to gleaning more resin, and avoiding trapping plant residues in it, is to twirl the bud without exerting too much pressure.<\/p>\n It will create a film of black resin, which can be shaped into balls once peeled off.\u00a0The resulting hashish is called \u2018charas\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Another home-made method of making hash, which is also the most widely used globally, is to sift the dried and frozen marijuana buds.<\/p>\n In this case,\u00a0the time required to make kief and then hashish is much longer<\/strong>, and you will need some equipment to do this, but the yield is greater.<\/p>\n First, you put a sheet of baking paper on a work surface and place the sieve on top of it (a fine mesh screen printing frame is perfect), on top of which you will spread the tops and other plant waste (leaves, twigs, etc.).<\/p>\n By moving the small parts of the plant over the mesh, the trichomes will start to break off and fall down.<\/p>\n The amount of kief that should be obtained with this method is, on average, about one-tenth of the sieved plant components.
