For a long time, people have heard all kinds of things about the marijuana plant and its effects. It is no coincidence that the consumption and\u00a0cultivation of cannabis are still illegal in many countries worldwide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
But is hemp a drug to be demonized, or should we get to know it a little better?<\/p>\n

However, it is no secret that this plant, with its many properties, is now used in the pharmacological sector for the treatment of various diseases, to alleviate anxiety and for many other reasons.<\/p>\n
As time goes by, in addition to THC, CBD, and their effects, the other\u00a0substances produced by cannabis<\/strong>\u00a0become better known, and what is coming out of it are not at all negative; on the contrary\u2026<\/p>\n
Of course, identifying all the properties of the many active ingredients present in marijuana will take time (not least because some have only recently been rediscovered). However, some results of recent studies have contributed to a change, of course, regarding the\u00a0legalization of cannabis<\/strong>\u00a0in several countries.<\/p>\n
CBD bud<\/a> genetics free of THC and rich in CBD have also played a crucial role in this respect.<\/p>\n
By now, you will be curious to know more about the other active ingredients of hemp.<\/p>\n
Below, you will learn about some lesser-known cannabinoids and the little we know about them.<\/p>\n

CBN: cannabinol<\/h3>\n
In 1963, cannabinol, or CBN, was\u00a0the first active ingredient in cannabis<\/strong>\u00a0to be isolated from the plant.<\/p>\n
Although this cannabinoid is derived from the oxidation of THC, it has no psychotropic effects.<\/p>\n
When taken by humans, cannabinol is calming. It is also used in the medical sector as a sedative and immunosuppressant.<\/p>\n
CBG: cannabigerol<\/h3>\n
Among\u00a0the lesser-known active ingredients of hemp is cannabigerol<\/strong>, often confused with CBD.<\/p>\n
CBG is also a non-psychotropic cannabinoid and plays a significant role. It is the first cannabinoid produced by cannabis and CBD weed<\/a> plants during growth and from which all the other active ingredients (THC, CBD, etc.) are subsequently developed.<\/p>\n
This fundamental task has, over time, led to the substance being referred to as the \u201ccannabis stem cell<\/strong>\u201d or the \u201cmother of all cannabinoids\u201d.<\/p>\n
Until a few years ago, very little was known about CBG. However, recent studies have made it possible to start using it in the medical and pharmaceutical sector to treat various diseases (in particular glaucoma and certain intestinal disorders) and as an analgesic and neuroprotector.<\/p>\n
CBC: cannabichromene<\/h3>\n
Although virtually unknown, cannabichromene is also one of the active ingredients produced by hemp plants.<\/p>\n
Like its predecessors, this substance has no psychotropic effects and even appears to be the main culprit in the anti-inflammatory and\u00a0anti-viral effects of cannabis.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Not only that.<\/p>\n
Working with the other cannabinoids, CBC appears to be an excellent amplifier of\u00a0the analgesic effect of cannabis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cannabicyclol is another of the secondary cannabinoids. It is a substance that develops as a result of the degradation of cannabinol.<\/p>\n
To date, we know very little about this substance, except that it has\u00a0no psychotropic effects<\/strong>. But, of course, studies continue, and we will soon know more.<\/p>\n
\nCBE: cannabielsoin<\/h3>\n
Cannabielsoin is also an active ingredient produced by hemp and\u00a0CBD cannabis<\/a>\u00a0plants and is on the list of substances to be studied.<\/p>\n
Research and testing of CBE are still ongoing<\/strong>, but what is known so far is that it is derived from CBD and that when taken by humans, it does not alter our perception of reality.<\/p>\n
CBDV: cannabidivarin<\/h3>\n
One of the cannabinoids being studied is cannabidivarin (CBDV).<\/p>\n
Discovered in 1969,\u00a0it is found in large concentrations, mainly in cannabis indica crops<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t know much about it yet, but it appears to have a strong anti-epileptic effect and can be used as an anticonvulsant.<\/p>\n
Given its potential, research continues, especially in the pharmaceutical sector.<\/p>\n
THCV: tretraidrocannabivarin<\/h3>\n
Tretraidrocannabivarin was discovered as long ago as 1971. Despite this, it has never been studied in-depth, so little is known about it.<\/p>\n
Recently, however, it has emerged that THCV counteracts the\u00a0effects of anandamide, a psychoactive cannabinoid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
It is fascinating and will be further investigated in future research.<\/p>\n
