A mental map leads us to think that, in any case, we are faced with a problem that is too much discussed to be postponed, especially at the time of today\u2019s emergencies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The turnover is multi-billionaire\u00a0<\/strong>and too often ends up in the hands of criminal organisations\u2026 unless it is a country where the factory and its multiple uses are legal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What happens in systems where the benefits of marijuana are the focus?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
One example that comes to mind there is\u00a0Uruguay<\/strong>, which has understood what advantages marijuana and its derivatives can offer. It was the first state in the world in recent years\u00a0to pass a law to legalise marijuana<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
With this initiative, the country stole up to 22 million dollars from drug traffickers and launched what we can now consciously call the \u201cgreen revolution\u201d.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
CBD buds<\/a>, when legalized,\u00a0is an essential ally in the fight against climate change<\/strong>; a resource through which it is possible to replace petroleum derivatives and therefore a fighter for the reduction of the levels of CO\u2082.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In the\u00a0United States<\/strong>, legal pot has generated\u00a0tens of billions of dollars<\/strong>\u00a0in sales and is the sector that creates the most jobs: more than 64,000, full-time, in a single year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Colorado\u00a0<\/strong>was the first of the U.S. states to make\u00a0marijuana legal for medical and recreational purposes<\/strong>\u00a0without increasing health care costs and, in fact, with $700 million in sales over one year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It cannot be underestimated that, in addition to making certain financial sectors grow and having a positive impact on general economic indices, legalisation positively affects other spheres.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In the case of Colorado,\u00a0Denver (its capital) has also saved a lot on crime repression<\/strong>, recording, for example, 10% fewer burglaries than in the years when legalization was not yet a reality.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Finally, Holland, which earns 400 million euros every year from the sale of CBD Flowers<\/a> and hashish. The Dutch state can also afford to reinvest in information and prevention to reduce any harm, but it does not appear that consumption in the country is any different from that in other western states.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
What if Switzerland did the same?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Ferdinando Ofria and Piero David<\/strong>, professors of economic policy at the University of Messina,\u00a0have conducted several studies<\/strong>\u00a0on the discourse on the legalisation of marijuana.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
They have compared the costs and\u00a0benefits of market regulation intervention<\/strong>\u00a0and calculated the positive financial effects.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Legalisation would allow substantial economic returns to the state coffers and many other social benefits.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
We could earn \u20ac8.5 billion a year<\/strong>. An almost congruent figure (just to assimilate) what it would have served the state, in certain situations, to avoid increasing VAT.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

- improving the principles of sustainable development<\/li>\r\n
- growth of fair financial market sectors<\/strong><\/li>\r\n
- greater social awareness of the sphere of drugs and addictions<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Finally, we would like to mention a\u00a0study published in Jama Internal Medicine (2014<\/strong>) which showed data from certain American states in which\u00a0the use of medical cannabis produces a 24.8% lower mortality<\/strong>\u00a0rate compared to deaths caused annually by an overdose of opioid analgesics.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
